Solar power generation

Covenant was a successful recipient of a grant under the National Solar School Program.  With the grant monies a 10kW solar array was  installed and the power generated from this system can be tracked via the SMA website.

A three day camp is planned for all Secondary students (Years 7-10) at Tarthra (South Coast). Permission notes (to be issued) must be completed and returned as soon as possible after receipt to assist with planning.
The cost of the camp will be approximately $325 (invoiced to family accounts) and will cover all activities and food at the camp, as well as transport to and from the campsite.

** What to bring to Camp **

You will need to bring with you the following items;
• Bible and note-pad and pen,
• sleeping bag and pillow,
• toiletries(only roll-on or stick deodorant), towel,
• suitable clothes for a cold winter camp, including a beanie,
• 2 pairs of closed footwear – (eg. sneakers or boots), in case one pair gets wet,
• thongs for the showers (the showers/toilets are separate buildings to the rooms/cabins),
• sunscreen, hat and water bottle,
• insect repellent, torch,
• wet weather gear,

Please do not bring:
• aerosol body-spray/deodorants as they may cause an adverse reaction in some students, especially when used in a confined area, such as a cabin/bathroom.
• energy drinks of any kind
• chewing gum or bubble gum
• mobile phone; iPod; mp3 player; walkman; electronic games. Students found with these devices will have them confiscated, and they will be returned to them the following Monday.

The Tuggeranong Zone (12 and under) Swimming Carnival is scheduled for Friday, 20 March 2015, at the AIS Swimming Pool (Bruce from 8:30am (warm up) to ~2:30pm. The canteen should be available.

Uniform:   Full sports uniform.
Transport:   Parents are to transfer their child to and from the venue.
Cost:   Nil - entry cost covered by the College.
