Year 1 Primary Teacher (part time: 0.4 – 0.5 FTE ongoing)

Covenant Christian School (ACT) invites applications from suitably qualified Primary Christian educators to commence in Term 3 (or as soon as possible during Term 2), 2019.  It is envisaged that the successful applicant will take a small single stream class in the Primary level of the school (2 days per week).

Years 7-10 Secondary Technology Teacher (part time: 0.4 – 0.5 FTE ongoing)  

Covenant Christian School (ACT) invites applications from suitably qualified Christian Secondary teachers to teach the Technologies learning areas to Years 7-10 students. This is a part-time position suitable for a Christian educator keen to teach a distinctively Christian approach to Technology. Please indicate your preferred areas of Technology as part of your application as well as other subject specialisations.

General Information for Applications

The applicants are expected to:

* Be a committed Christian who is a member of, and actively involved in, a local Protestant Church.
* Be part of a staff team that seeks to honour God in all that it does.
* Value a direct instruction approach to education.
* Have a commitment to educational excellence.
* Contribute to the life of the School community.
* Be a good model of personal dress, manner, language, humility and humour.
* Hold a 4 year Bachelor of Education degree (or equivalent).
* Obtain and/or maintain Teacher Registration with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI).
* Obtain and/or maintain the ACT Working With Vulnerable People registration.
NOTE: An appreciation of an intensive phonics-based language program (eg. Spalding) is highly desirable. Training will be provided if required for Primary teachers.
